Just before the upcoming AIDS conference scheduled for early August in Mexico, we launched a movie documentary called Miss HIV last week on the 23rd July, it is a hollywood piece made by ethnographic media.

It was launched at Cineplex cinema at garden city, in the heart of Kampala. The guest of honour was none other than our maama and also a colleague in the fight against HIV/AIDS, the first lady of uganda, Mrs. Janet Museveni.

Confronting the barons of AIDS

Why this madness? At this gathering to map out the future plan of Uganda's AIDS Plan, I was deeply dissappointed at the utter scorn and disdain the head of UAC Dr. Kihumuro Apuuli had abstinence and being faithful as priorities and strategies in the new NSP. From his hostile response to my input, I can tell the battle is fierce. There will most likely be no more ABC plus but now we are being forced to swallow "Universal Access" ; a strategy which has not been tested anywhere or produced results compared to ABC.

I am in this battle and will post you some more. This is my first postiong from the frontlines
